Habitat restoration at the Ross Road Reserve

Date Published 16 June 2020

It's great to be involved in another great Brisbane City Council habitat restoration project at the Ross Road Reserve in Upper Kedron, which was formally a dairy farm. Working closely with BCC's Habitat Restoration Team, we are helping to enhance root growth of over 14,500 new plantlings with the application of Nuturf's Folimax Kelmax - a natural-based seaweed water additive. Restoration of the Ross Road Reserve began over ten years ago, with its spectacular backdrop overlooking the D'Aguilar National Park making it a fantastic asset for the local community.

The Offsets and Restoration Program is part of the BCC's 'Brisbane. Clean, Green, Sustainable 2017-2031' plan and plays a vital role in helping the Council achieve its goal of 40% natural habitat cover on mainland Brisbane by 2031.
